LAWRENCE — KUJH-TV News, the University of Kansas student-staffed
television news operation, received eight awards, in the Kansas
Association of Broadcasters Student Broadcast Awards competition.
Awards were presented at the KAB luncheon on April 12 in Topeka.
The KAB awards honor the best student work in news, sports,
public affairs, public service and commercial efforts in radio
and television. The contest was open to all Kansas high school
and university student content produced during the last year.
KUJH-TV News and its website provide students with hands-on,
professionally supervised work experience. The student-produced
news airs at 5:30, 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 p.m. Monday through
Friday while KU classes are in session during the fall and
spring semesters.
