Students interested in all areas of broadcasting gain invaluable skills at KUJH-TV, giving them an early advantage in the industry. KUJH-TV produces daily newscasts and sports talk programming while continuing to expand its coverage to include special events and documentaries. KUJH-TV gives students the experience they need to dive into the broadcasting industry, with several former students securing jobs even before graduation.

Opportunities are available both on-camera and behind-the-scenes with on-camera talent, writers, directors and producers needed. With such a wide range of positions, students of all skill levels can find a place with KUJH-TV.

Meteorology at KUJH

Atmospheric Science students who want to become TV meteorologists often double major or minor in journalism. KUJH-TV offers them a chance to hone their skills with a green screen and in front of the camera. Jade Steffensmeier and Haylen Wilhite participated in Al Roker's weather marathon in 2021.
