Grad checks for students graduating in December 2008
If you plan to graduate in December 2008, please make an appointment with the Journalism Advising and Records Office to complete required graduation forms and have a graduation check. We would like to complete all grad checks for tentative December grads by February 15. You must apply and have a grad check in order for your name to be on the official commencement list. Please make an appointment with me or my colleague, Scott Sponholtz, online through the J-School website. Follow the instructions under "reservation system."
Grad checks for students graduating in May or August 2008
If you plan to graduate in May or August 2008 and HAVE NOT ALREADY had a grad check, please make an appointment as soon as possible with the Journalism Advising and Records Office to complete required graduation forms and have a graduation check.
Note for Strategic Communication majors graduating in December 2008
If you plan to take Jour 676, Strategic Campaigns, in fall 2008, please be sure you are enrolled in (or have completed) the three prerequisites:
- Jour 435, Message Development
- Jour 513, Principles of Advertising, or Jour 523, Principles of Public Relations
- Jour 568, Marketing and Media Research
These prerequisites must be completed before Campaigns. Concurrent enrollment is not allowed.
