Welcome to KU SPJ, the KU William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications' student-run chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

This new chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is open to everyone (non-J-School students, undergrads and grad students) and primarily focuses on the News and Information track. Programs will include bringing in speakers, organizing groups to compete in writing competitions, workshops and networking activities.

Fall 2009 Meeting Schedule:

Sept. 23: First meeting of the fall semester at 4:30 pm, 202 Stauffer-Flint. There, we'll talk about the organization, introduce the new SPJ executive board, share our ideas for what we'd like to see out of SPJ this semester and plan our first event: a Freshman-Sophomore J-School orientation, with speakers from all different sides of University of Kansas media.
