Five of the ten Journalism Student Ambassadors are pictured above.

The Journalism Student Ambassador Program (JSAP) consists of a select group of student volunteers who are committed, in thought and through their actions, to the positive promotion of the KU William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications.

J-School Ambassadors serve an important role in the School’s public relations, recruitment and retention efforts.

Some of their duties include serving as liaisons on behalf of the J-School to alumni as well as current and prospective students; provide visitors with tours of Stauffer-Flint Hall and the journalism facilities in the Dole Center; and assist with the recruitment of the future journalism student ambassadors.

The J-School currently has 17 student ambassadors.

The ambassadors are Brooke Abney, Mark Arehart, Emily Boeckman, Lindsey Carlton, John Coultis, Mary Henderson, Brock Horner, Wayne Larson, Emily McCoy, Ally Nienhueser, Andrea Olsen, Meg Proehl, Cassie Rupp, Laura Sather, Erin Solis, Meredith Watts and Carnez Williams.

The 2009-10 JSAP officers are President Brock Horner, Vice President Meg Proehl and Secretary Ally Nienhueser.
