more information.

As mass communication scholars, we strive to bridge between science/medicine and the world at large. We devise media strategies to empower individuals to adopt healthy behaviors, direct policy makers' attention to critical health and science issues, and frame those issues for public deliberation.

We hope to strengthen communication between journalists and scientists/health professionals, illuminate citizens about scientific discoveries, and create effective patient materials and health initiatives.

Our key interests include social marketing, risk communication, news framing, and health advocacy. Please click the buttons above and our bios on the left to explore our expertise in health and science communication.
