The School's Graduate Recognition Ceremony May 20 at Lied
Center included the hooding of master's degree recipients
and presentation of May and August bachelor's degree graduates.
Provost David Shulenburger spoke. Dean Brill presided. Sharon
Bass and Linda Miller hooded the master's graduates. David
Guth announced the names of the master's graduates and of
the bachelor's degree candidates who were greeted on stage
by Professors Rick Musser and Chuck Marsh. A reception followed
on the Stauffer-Flint lawn.
The event was arranged by Jennifer Kinnard, Cindy Vinyard
and Cindy Nesvarba. The ceremony recognized 19 master's degree
candidates, one from August 2005, two from December 2005,
ten who completed their work this month, and six who will
complete degree requirements in August. The number of bachelor's
degree candidates recognized was 226, 197 May graduates and
29 who expect to complete requirements in August.
Twenty students were inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha journalism
honorary May 20 by Patty Noland. They were Kathryn R. Anderson,
Alexis Bannwarth, Nadine Billgen, Jennifer Byrd, Lauren Erickson,
Jessica Fergen, Meredith Hauck, Lindsay Heist, Kellee Kirkpatrick,
Tricia Masenthin, Kelsey McKeown, Theresa Montano, Jesse Newell,
Maria Salcedo, Tara Schupner, Jason Shaad, Lindsey Smith,
Lauren Taylor, Meghan Tetwiler and Audrey Worthington.
