On August 16, the J-School tried something new and fun with the graduate program--an orientation for all new and returning students from both the Edwards and Lawrence campuses, followed by an old-fashioned ice cream social on the lawn of Stauffer-Flint Hall.

Incoming students attended a special introductory session at 5 p.m. Continuing students joined in at 6 p.m. for an all-program session. The ice cream social followed at 7 p.m.

It was an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about the school and meet with the graduate program director, faculty members and fellow students. Thank you to all the students who came. Visit the graduate program Web page for more information.
