Thor Nystrom, 2008 J-School graduate, placed first in the feature-writing category of Rolling Stone magazine’s 33rd annual College Journalism Competition. He will receive a $2,500 cash prize. December J-School graduate recognition event has been set for Sunday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m. in Woodruff Auditorium of the Kansas Union, followed by a reception in the Big 12 Room. Graduates will be individually recognized on stage. Formal caps and gowns will NOT be worn.
