“Even though I primarily deal with funding
and record keeping, (at the J-School) we are all
here for the same reason: the students.” --
Gayle Vannicola
“It
is important to have an open door policy. If we want
to be successful, we can’t be afraid to ask questions. My
door is always open.” said
Gayle Vannicola, business manager.
Although Vannicola has worked in various
departments at the university since 1978, the J-School
has quickly become home for her.
“There
is a unique bond between students, faculty and everyone
who walks the halls of Stauffer-Flint which is essential
for professional and personal success,” said
Gayle Vannicola, business manager.
Vannicola manages
the school’s various accounts
and provides Dean Brill with the financial standings
of the J-School. She enjoys her role within the
School because compiling reports, working hard and
accurately and “having everything balance in
the end” is what gives (her) the greatest satisfaction.
