Samantha Hardy enjoys being a part of a student’s journey through the University of Kansas. While her primary focus is recruiting prospective Journalism students and leading recruiting and retention programs, Hardy says she enjoys having the opportunity to work with some of the smartest and most talented students at KU.
After receiving her Journalism degree in the Strategic Communication track from the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications, Hardy began a career in marketing. Less than two years into the profession, she decided to return to school to earn a master’s degree in Educational Administration to start a career in higher education – her true passion.
Prior to working in the Journalism School, Hardy served as an academic advisor at the University of Missouri – Kansas City and as an Interim Assistant Director in KU’s Office of Admissions and Scholarships. Hardy says that returning to the Journalism School is rewarding because she has an opportunity to work with outstanding students and distinguished faculty each day.
