Dr. Jerry Crawford is a May 2008 graduate of Howard University, where he worked closely with Dr. Barbara Hines, the incoming AEJMC president.

He has more than 25 years of professional experience in broadcast management of television stations.

His research interests deal with the accreditation of universities and colleges, specifically Historically Black Colleges and Universities, with journalism and mass communication programs, and the ethical practices within broadcasting.
