Message Development, Opinion and Commentary, Principles of Advertising, Principles of PR, Journalism and Youth Culture

Kerry Benson spent 18 years working full-time in the journalism industry before coming to KU to teach. Her professional career includes newspaper, magazine, radio, public relations and advertising.

While she teaches a variety of courses, Benson’s favorite course to teach is Opinion and Commentary.

Research Interests:
How music is used in communicating; branding; building psychographic demographics
