The School of Journalism’s Career Center has started a new service for alumni. We now provide information about journalism jobs that require at least two years of experience. This new service will be for jobs that require 2-4, 3-5, 5-7 and 10 or more years of experience. The School and faculty members hear about such positions on a regular basis and we post the listings here.

The School already offers an online database of jobs and internships for current students who are looking for that first position in journalism. We also have a way of e-mailing opportunities to students who are in the JCC system.

Managing Editor (two positions open), Arizona Custom Media Publishing and Marketing Communications Firm

Are you an extrovert with a lot of charisma and a high level of leadership? Do you have 5+ years' experience in magazine publishing? Superb content-editing and people management skills? PHOTOGRAPHER: KWCH Channel 12 in Wichita Kansas has an opening in its award winning photojournalism department. The position requires experience with non-linear editors, Thomas Grass Valley preferred. Applicant should have 2 years experience, and be excited about learning NPPA style of photography, and willing to put in the effort it takes to maintain a dominant #1 station's status. Successful candidates will be able to work well in tandem with reporters, as well as on their own. They should have the interviewing and photography skills necessary to shoot anchor packages, nat packages and VOSOTs by themselves. They will remain calm under the pressures of multiple assignments and daily deadlines.
