Communications Specialist, HNTB (KCMO)
The communications specialist is responsible for supporting marketing communications and public relations programs that directly advance the firm’s strategic business goals and are in alignment with HNTB’s brand and visual identity. Effective project management of the programs will be required. Web site content management also is expected. This position requires top-level writing skills for both print and electronic media, the ability to “think visually” to translate concepts into effective PowerPoint presentations and a passion for communications excellence. Previous experience writing and managing collateral pieces, coordinating PR events and developing presentations is required. A demonstrated ability to collaborate with others and handle multiple projects simultaneously is a must. Prior client service and corporate experience desired. Knowledge of Web site development and content management tools is required. Other responsibilities: Develop Web site tracking and regular communications reports; Assist with invoice and budget management; Manage collateral inventory; and Coordinate other assignments as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing or related area. The Assistant Editor collaborates with the Editor to write and edit articles and news stories that appear in the print editions, e-newsletters and other e-media related content for four B2B and association magazines. Communications Director, Repower America (Washington, DC)
